MAIN PURPOSE

This position receives, stores, and distributes materials, equipment, and products within the Richemont Distribution Centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for receiving, unpacking and putting away of inbound shipments.
• Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed or shipped.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operate materials handling equipment (MHE) to transfer, put away and pick products to and from the storage locations.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area for packing.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Assists in counting of physical inventory and arrange stocks in specified sequence.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Perform value added services on products such as labeling, recording serial numbers and repacking before shipment.
• Keeps warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times
• Carries out ad-hoc maintenance duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completed at least Secondary School
• One to three years of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Experience in SAP and operating material handling equipment (MHE) is an added advantage
